This version is obsolete. It's recommended to download the version 2.00 of Dialupass
Description
When you use the "Dial-Up Networking" module for connecting to the internet or to other networks, the operating system give you the option to store the password and use it when it needed.
Although the password is constantly stored in your computer, the operating system doesn't allow you to watch it.
if you forget your password and you want to extract it from your computer, you can use this utility.
This utility enumerates all Dial-Up entries on your computer and reveals their login details: User Name, Password and Domain.
it works perfectly in the following operating systems: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows NT (Version 4.0).
In Windows 2000 and Windows XP, the Dialupass utility cannot reveal the Dial-Up passwords, because Microsoft has deliberately changed the security model in order to prevent from unauthorized people to steal the password from the computer.
In the future, I'll try to defeat their restrictions and develop this utility for revealing the Dial-Up passwords also in Windows 2000/XP
Known Limitations
- As reminded earlier, This utility can reveal the Dial-Up passwords only in Windows 95/98/ME and Windows NT.
- In Windows NT, the user name and password details are shown only if they pertain to the current logged on user. This utility cannot show the Dial-Up passwords of other users.
License
This utility is released as freeware. You can freely use and distribute it.
If you distribute this utility, you must include all files in the distribution package including the readme.txt, without any modification !

Using Dialupass
The Dialupass utility doesn't require any installation process.
Just copy the dialupass.exe to any folder you want and run it. After you run it, it'll instantly show all your Dial-Up accounts and their user/password details. You can use the "Copy To Clipboard" button to copy the accounts list and paste it to another application like Notepad or Microsoft Word.
